National Day of Commemoration 2023

To mark National Day of Commemoration 2023, Leitrim County Council’s Decade of Centenaries Committee would like to invite members of the public to attend a commemorative event on Sunday July 9th 2023 at 2.30pm at Manorhamilton’s Garden of Remembrance and Reflection. The focus of the event is to commemorate all men and women from Leitrim or connected with Leitrim who died as a result of conflict during the decade 1914 – 1924.

 

Beezneez Theatre Company 

will perform their much anticipated, rip-roaring comedy "Pension Plan" on Saturday 6th July 8pm @The Island Theatre, Ballinamore.  From the pen of John McDwyer, this promises to be a hilarious night’s entertainment not to be missed. QQI Level 5 course in Health Nutrition and Food Science

DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATION: a Mass and Function to mark the occasion of Fr Johnny’s Diamond Jubilee of his ordination to the Priesthood, and his retirement from active ministry, will take place on Friday 7th July with a concelebrated Mass at 8 pm in Aughnasheelin Church and afterwards in Aughnasheelin Community Hall.

BOOKING ANNIVERSARIES MASSES: As you are aware we have shared mass intentions in our churches at the weekends. We try to limit the number of intentions to a maximum of three. To maintain this arrangement we suggest that you book anniversary masses well in advance. Please book Masses via the email or Office phone number above. 

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK takes place on Wed. 9th August 2023, the Feast of St Felim, the Patron Saint of the Kilmore Diocese. Ceremonies begin at 2pm with the outdoor Stations of the Cross and Rosary Procession. The Celebration of Mass and the Anointing of the Sick will take place at 3pm. Bishop Martin Hayes will be the Main Celebrant. A special invitation is extended to all families from across the diocese.
