THE 'LEITRIM WOMEN THROUGH TIME' exhibition is currently residing at Ballinamore Library. The exhibition tells the stories of everyday Leitrim women from the past. The exhibition was formed as a result of the first phase of a collaborative heritage project created by the North Leitrim Women's Centre and Scéal Heritage Consultancy.

 

LEITRIM COUNTY COUNCIL is inviting applications from community groups and schools for CLÁR Funding 2023. Application forms are available on our website at leitrimcoco.ie or by emailing clarfunding@leitrimcoco.ie. The closing date for applications is the 28th April 2023. DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATION: of Fr Johnny’s ordination to the Priesthood, Friday 7th July with concelebrated Mass at 8 pm in Aughnasheelin Church and afterwards in Aughnasheelin Community Hall.

TRÓCAIRE: has worked to support the worlds most at risk communities, no matter who or where they are, for 50 yrs. Please bring your Trócaire contributions to Church collections for forwarding to Trócaire as soon as possible.

2023 KILMORE DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES: 

takes place from 2nd – 7th June this year. The Pilgrimage will be led by Most Rev Martin Hayes Bishop of Kilmore. BALLINAMORE ATHLETIC CLUB: training resumes on Tues. April 18th at 7pm, new members will be enrolled at the Den beforehand. Leitrim Primary Schools Championships on Sunday next.

CARRICK HISTORICAL SOCIETY TALK 

How North Connacht's Migrant Builders Contributed to Post-War London’ Wed 19th  April 8 pm, St George's Heritage & Visitor Centre, Carrick.  Interesting illustrated talk about the 1950s/60s with a focus on Leitrim/North Roscommon by local historian, Dr Michael (Mick) Mulvey. COMMUNITY ACTION TENANTS UNION (CATU) a public meeting and storytelling event in St George's Visitor Centre, Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday April 15th 13.30 -15.30pm. With a discussion on housing issues faced by people in the Sligo-Leitrim area and what we can do about them. All welcome! Refreshments provided.

 

MOHILL ENTERPRISE CENTRE: Open Day 10am to 5.30pm on Fri 28th April to showcase our Hot-desking, Office Space, Media Room, and Training Suites. We will also be starting our enrolment onto our QQI Level 5 Full Time Course which begins this September 2023. We look forward to meeting you on the day.

 

GAMBLING THERAPY AND SUPPORT SERVICE: offers free and confidential support and community education to those with a gambling problem or those effected by a gambling problem.
