The Childcare Programme is managed by Leitrim Development Company and is designed to help long-term unemployed to secure training and work experience in the field of childcare. Part of the programme is the provision of QQI training in childcare.  This qualification is essential to find employment in the childcare sector.  The programme assists learners to enhance and develop both technical and personal skills, which can be used in the workplace.

Schools Final

Well done to the  Ballinamore Community school lads who won the PPS Junior C Connacht Final against  St Jarlaths community school on Thursday, it was a great match and the lads put in a fantastic display. Special well done to the Ballinamore lads that were in action Dessie Wisley, Paul Honeyman, Mark Ahern, Harry Prior , Michael Keegan, Zead Mohammad and Kayelon Murray

 

Old signs

There are a number of old advertising signs that were around the perimeter of the pitch and were replaced with new ones. If anyone wants to take their own original sign, contact Seán at 087 6821566.

 

41st BALLINAMORE DRAMA FESTIVAL: commences in the Island Theatre, on Sunday March 5th, and runs for seven nights, at 8pm until Sunday March 12th. Season Tickets, are €55 for 7 nights, are on sale in Murphy’s shop, St. Brigid Street, or at the ticket office. Admission nightly is €10. Our adjudicator is Paddy Farrelly. Paddy is Technical Manager at the Ramor Theatre Virginia & Townhall Theatre Cavan.There are three groups, Pomeroy, Clontarf & Glenamaddy, competing in the Confined Section and groups from Dalkey, Lifford and two from Wexford, in the Open Section. We look forward to welcoming all our patrons to another enthralling festival week. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Sunday 12th: The Festival concludes with the Glenamaddy Players performance of ‘Proof’ written by David Auburn

CONFIRMATION PARENTS 2023: An information evening for confirmation parents will take place on Wed 1st March at 8 pm in St. Brigid’s Parish Centre, Ballinamore. Parents can register their child for the Sacrament of Confirmation and get details of the upcoming Parish programme. Fr. Sean and Martina look forward to seeing all the parents there.
