Connacht Gold Senior Championship

Our Senior championship participation came to an end on Sunday afternoon against Glencar Manor. The lads started the game well but dropped off as the game progressed losing by 3 points and a score of 1.06 to 0.12. The team and management have put in a lot of hard work and have shown great commitment on the training pitch over the course of the campaign and will be disappointed with the loss, we would all like to thank them for their hard work and commitment and we hope that the loss though difficult will help drive them on for the future.

Best of luck to our Junior A lads who will be playing on Saturday at 18:30 away to Aughavas, good luck also to our Junior B lads who will be in action on Sunday at 13:30 away to St Mary’s we will see over the coming days if we have capacity for streaming the games.

Ladies Senior Championships

Best of luck to our ladies’ team who will be in action against Kiltubrid at 15:30 on Sunday in their semi-final fixture. The match will be played in Leitrim village and as per current government guidelines the match will be closed to all spectators. We will stream the match live on our Facebook page – signal permitting so hopefully you call all join in and show your support for the girls.

We would all like to thank Ciaran and Cathy Smyth of Smyths Siopa Ol for their very kind and generous sponsorship of training tops for our senior ladies’ team this was a great lift for the team, and they are all delighted with them and will be wearing them to their semi-final match!

Special thanks also to everyone that supported our Drive thru Cake and Bake sale on Saturday, there was fantastic support from everyone, and we really appreciate everyone digging deep during these difficult times to support or ladies and girls’ teams.
