Béal an Átha Móir Seán Ó hEislin

Connacht Gold Senior Championship

It was a warm day in Carrick as the lads took on St Mary’s in this week’s championship match with St Mary's in good form and starting well and leading the match at the break by 0:10 to 0:7. We continued to push forward to close the gap and there was only a point in it where we drew level before St Marys in injury time went two ahead before Tom Prior score an unbelievable goal to push us one clear, it wasn’t to be and Carrick scored two further points to claim the victory deep into injury time. Next up for the lads is a game against Fenagh in Ballinamore at 19:00 in the pairc in what promises to be a great game.

Folks as you know this Saturday's match is an all ticket affair and due to Covid restrictions the club have a very limited number. We would like those that would like to attend to email: Secretary.ballinamoreseanoheslins.leitrim@gaa.ie expressing your interest in a ticket. Alternatively contact Patsy on (087) 684 6578 or Mick Quinn on (087) 961 3173.

A draw will take place for the tickets on Friday evening.

Ladies Senior Championships

The sun was shining in the Paric on Sunday morning as the ladies took on Glencar Manor, there was a great crowd  in attendance and they were treated to a fantastic match with both teams putting on a display of very good football, there was certainly no shortage of skill on show and the game was possibly one of the most exciting we have seen in the pairc at any level. There were fine performances all over the pitch with the girls coming back from 6 points down at one stage to grab a deserved victory with Emma McGovern driving home the winning goal. The victory leaves the girls on 5 points at the top of the table with an away game to come against Cill Tiobraid on Sunday at 11:00, if the game is half as exciting as this one I would urge you to go out and watch the game.

Junior B Championship

Our B team were in action on Sunday in the pairc against Allen Gaels, the lads put up a good show and improved greatly in the second half with the introduction of Diarmaid Keegan at corner forward who scored 1:02 and set up a fine goal for Euan McManus who also had a good game, it was too little too late with the lads losing by a score of 2:06 to 0:16.

Ballinamore Cul Camps

Our Ballinamore Kelloggs Cul Camp got off to a fantastic start on Monday with good weather and 100 children in attendance, hopefully the week and the weather stays good and the children enjoy their time in the pairc.

Our u14 team is in fine form and had another good victory last Tuesday when they defeated Annaduff by 6:17 to 1:07, the girls have now got three victories and are well positioned to get to a final spot.
