Fenagh’s St Patricks Day Parade

The annual parade now in its 8th year takes place on Sunday March 17 at 2pm. Please come out and support your local parade – get your green on and cheer on all participants as they make their way through the village. Well done to the organising committee who have been very busy over the past weeks making sure Fenagh will be awash in green again and lets hope the weather behaves on the day! Lá fhéile Pádraig sona dhaoibh.

 

Confirmation

Congratulations to the boys and girls from Fenagh who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday March 9th in St Marys Church, Foxfield – they are Oran Curran, Róise Redican, Nathan Farrell, Colm McLoughlin, Ben Reynolds, Jamie Gallogly, Matthew Dolan, Avril Hargaden, Reuben McCrann, Ashling Kelly, Eoghan Conefrey, Kate Conefrey, Ruby Greenan, Dylan Gooheen, Clodagh McTiernan, Sienna Shortt, Calem Quinn, Conor Fox, Matthew Hargaden, Ruairí O Rourke, Kayla Gill, Ashlee Canning, Dylan Conefrey, Killian Mulvey and Katie Guckian.

 

Fenagh Drama Troupe

NEW DATES – Please note the new dates for this year’s production – Thursday 4, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 April in Fenagh Community Centre. The troupe are busy putting the final touches to the 2 Act comedy, “Nobody’s Talking to Me” written by Tommy Marren. The play is a hilarious account of what is supposed to be a day of special celebration in the life of Mattie and Maggie Conway! With plenty of locals in the cast and new faces taking to the stage, this year’s production will have you all laughing your socks off. 

 

St Caillins NS Clothing Collection

St. Caillin’s N.S. are organising a clothes collection which will take place on Tuesday March 18.  Any old clothes, shoes, linen etc., in black bags would be greatly appreciated. Every bag counts. Please drop the bags over the school wall on or before Tuesday 18. Many thanks.

 

Progressive 25 Card Game

Progressive 25 continues this Thursday night March 14 in Fenagh Community Centre, starting at 8.30. League prizes, Nightly prizes and Jackpots. Entry €8 with refreshments served. All new players welcome. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Club. Last week’s winners were Teresa Ellis and Sean Masterson 7 games each.

 

Fenagh Text Alert

Text alert money now due – 5 euro per number. Envelopes available at Visitor Centre and Fenagh pubs. Deadline March 16, 2019. Any subscriptions not paid by this date will be removed from list.

 

Fenagh Visitor Centre

Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area & Birthday Party Venue, Coffee Shop/WiFi, Hall rental/Meeting space). Opening hours this week: Mon-Fri 10am-5.30pm Sat & Sun 12-5.30pm. For further information call (071) 9645590.

Social Dancing Class

Continues Wednesdays 8.30pm at the Community Centre – all welcome.

 

Ballinamore Community School

Darkness into Light will be held on May 11 this year. Again it is online registration only. At the moment there is an early bird charge that will be open until March 30. More information to follow.

 

Ballinamore Boxing Club

Ballinamore Boxing Club are holding their annual table quiz on Friday March 15 in Symths Siopa Ol at 9pm please support.

 

Basket Making
