An information meeting will be held in Lough Allen Hotel Drumshanbo on Friday 22nd June at 8.30pm.  Open to everyone, business, GAA, Farmers, tourist etc everyone who cares about Leitrim. Leitrim’s future is in your hands, there will be a number of speakers on the night.

Festival News

Following the successful launch of Gerry Farry’s Lord Mayor Campaign in Gay Priors Lounge on Saturday 26th May. The organisers would like to thank everybody who attended, they announced the upcoming events.  On Thursday the 12th of July in the Community Centre at 9pm ‘This is your Life’ with the one and only Tommy Moran when he will once again open his red book with those famous words, also on sale throughout the town are lines for the revived Trolley Dash but this time there will be TWO ‘DASHES’. One in Tesco and One in SuperValue. They thanked the sponsors of the raffle prizes: Simon Power, Gerry Farry, Bridge Sullivan, Walter Sharpley and Cyril Smith and everyone who donated a prise. Thanks are extended to Gay and all his staff for their help. Congratulations to all the winners keep reading for updates on more events to come.

Dawn’s Art Camp

Its nearly time to get the rags on and your paint brushes out as it’s drawing closer to Dawns Art Camp. With lots of fun and creativity in the mix.  Art is adventure that never ends... so I hope to see you at Dawn's art camp from the Wed 27th to Fri 29th of June...staring from incoming 1st class (age 7) to 6th class. Junior and Senior camp will be as one adjusting projects according to age. (This may change slightly depending on numbers).... its filling up so early booking essential .

Weddings: Congratulations to Fiona Beirne & Ciáran Fleming who were married in Ballinamore last weekend and Ciara McTeigue & Jesse Gaffey who also were married last weekend in Aughnasheelin.  

Recent deaths: We pray for the soul of Michael Mohan, Gubnaveigh, Aghacashel whose funeral took place on Friday in Aughnasheelin and Michael Hennessey brother of Josephine Gilhooley Killaneen who died recently. We pray for the soul of Carmel McTeague whose funeral took place on Thursday. Our sympathy to her family. 

Trócaire Collections 2018: The following totals were collected from each church-  Ballinamore : €6738, Aughnasheelin €591.42, Corraleehan €615 and Aughawillan €495. Thank you all for your generosity.  

Visitation of the Sick and Housebound  will take place this week.. Aughnasheelin, Aughawillan  and Corraleehan areas on Thursday morning and Ballinamore Rural Area on Thursday afternoon . Ballinamore Town on Friday morning 

Leaving and Junior Cert Examinations There is a box at back of the church in which parents or students can place their names, and they will be included in all prayers taking place in the church over the coming weeks. Also copy of prayer for exam students available please take one. Best Wishes to all. 

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock: The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on June 17th, 2018. There are a few places available on the bus if anyone wishes to book a seat please call Mary before Monday evening, 11th June on 0877541234. 


Drumeela Garden Club Outing will take place on Saturday June 16th. We hope to visit some gardens on the Boyne Valley Garden Trail, a Gin Distillery and School and the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre. The cost per person is 35 euro which includes transport and entry to the various venues. We will dine on our homeward journey. Ballinamore Parent  & Toddler in  Ballinamore Library

Wednesday 10.00a.m.-12.000p.m. €2 per week (for tea, coffee, biscuits etc.) All parents/grandparents or child minders who are in the company of babies or toddlers are invited to come along for a cup of tea and a chat while the children mix and play! Church of Ireland Church Street, Ballinamore, Sunday Service is at 12.15pm every Sunday except on the 4th Sunday which is held in Drumreilly Church, Drumreilly
