Baptism: We welcome Ellenmarie Ward into our church community as she received the sacrament of Baptism last weekend. Congratulations to her parents.   

Trócaire: Trócaire would like to thank you for a donation of 400- contents of the Trócaire box in Church Porch.  

Fr Johnny will shortly be celebrating a very significant birthday:  to mark this occasion there will be mass in Aughnasheelin Church on Friday June 8th at 8pm and this will be followed by a celebration in the Local Community Hall. All welcome.  

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock: The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on the 17th of June 2018. If there is sufficient  numbers The Pastoral Area will arrange a bus. For booking please contact 087 7541234. 

Leaving and Junior Cert Examinations There is a box at back of the church in which parents or students can place their names, and they will be included in all prayers taking place in the church over the coming weeks. Also copy of prayer for exam students available please take one. Best Wishes to all. 

Safeguarding Sunday Our annual Safeguarding Sunday will be held throughout the diocese on the weekend  of the 2nd & 3rd of June 2017. The purpose of Safeguarding Sunday is to create a greater awareness of safeguarding in our parishes and diocese.  It recognises the significant contribution of the faithful in ensuring that our diocesan safeguarding policies are being adhered to. The annual safeguarding newsletter will be available that weekend and you are encouraged to take a copy and inform yourself of developments in safeguarding. 

Alzheimer’s Coffee morning:

Will be held in Bernadette McGovern’s house, Corraleehan on Wednesday from 10am to 6pm. Please support.   

Lahard Summer Camp:

A meeting will be held on Thursday 7th June in Ballinamore community Centre at 8:00 p.m regarding this year’s summer camp. It is vital that parents wishing to send their children to this camp attend this meeting . For more information contact Pauline Moran - 0863777730

The Ballinamore Men's Shed are holding their Annual Church Gate collection on Sunday the 3rd June. The shed is open every Wednesday evening between 7pm and 10pm new members are always welcome. Your support to this collection would be greatly appreciated.

An illustrated talk given by Gail from the “Four Seasons Garden Centre” will take place in Ballinamore Library on Thursday 31st May at 5pm. Come along get ideas for summer planting which will add colour to your garden.Gail will also be happy to answer any of your gardening queries. A meeting of Ballinamore women’s group takes place on Wednesday 6th June at 8pm.A day trip in July is been planned and a week end trip in the autumn. Members are asked to attend  to make plans for both outings.

Church of Ireland Church Street, Ballinamore, Sunday Service is at 12.15pm every Sunday except on the 4th Sunday which is held in Drumreilly Church, Drumreilly.

Wear a Sunflower for North West Hospice:

Sunflower Days in aid of North West Hospice take place from 8th-9th June. Would you like to be part of the choir for the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park on Sunday 26 August 2018? 

The Diocese of Kilmore has been allocated 74 places in the choir that will lead the congregational singing during the Mass with Pope Francis in August.  23 sopranos, 23 altos,14 tenors and 14 bass from across the diocese are required. All prospective choir members must be aged 18 years+ and will be subject to Garda Vetting as part of the registration process. There is nothing to stop choirs travelling to the Phoenix Park as part of a parish pilgrimage and singing from their assigned places in the designated sections. As many of the 74 choir members as possible will also be asked to join the choir for the 4:30p.m. Mass in Dublin’s RDS on Thursday 23 August during the World Meeting of Families Pastoral Congress which coincides with the Kilmore Diocesan Day at the Pastoral Congress.
