Ballinamore Hurling Club

What a great day our hurlers had at Tain Og in Saturday in Monaghan. They played two teams beating Enniskillen and losing out to Edgeworthstown in two competitive games. They meet some of the greats of our national game with lots of advice coming from DJ Carey and David Herity. Thanks so much to Neil, Sandra and Paddy for organising this special day and accompanying our children to Monaghan.

The future looks bright for hurling in Leitrim.

Leitrim U14 girls

Best of luck to the Leitrim u14 girls and especially the Ballinamore contingent of Mollie Murphy, Emma Honeyman, Kelly Beirne, Laura Maguire and Lizzie O’ Connell and of course the bainisteoir Adrian Murphy as they take on Sligo in the Connacht final on Sunday in Swinford at 1 pm.

Under 9 and Nursery

Great evening again on Monday the pairc with over 40 children taking part in the nursery and the u9 training. Special thanks as ever to the mentors  and parents for helping out. A special mention also to a couple of our players Peter Reynolds, Danny Smyth and James Creamer who joined up with us on Monday to help out and pass on their knowledge to the next generation!!!


U9 blitz

Thanks to Leitrim Gaels who we played last Saturday for making the trip to Ballinamore, this week we are away to St Joseph's.

Ballinamore Parent and Toddler

in Ballinamore Library Wednesday 10.00 am until 12.00 pm. Euro 2 per week (tea, coffee, biscuits etc). Any parent, grandparent or childminder who are in the company of babies or toddlers are invited to come along for a cup of tea and chat while the children mix and play. Ballinamore Childcare CLG

Will hold an AGM and EGM in the former Technical School on Tuesday 22nd May at 8.30pm. We seek new members to join the board and nominations must be received by Friday 18th. Connacht Fleadh (Ballinamore) July 7th and 8th

If you are interested in Irish music, song and dance then come along and enjoy all that the Fleadh has to offer. Darkness into Light 

On May 12th Ballinamore Community School will host their first Darkness into Light 5k Walk, in aid of Pieta House. This event will begin at 4.15am, in darkness, as people walk the 5km route around Ballinamore and finish as the dawn is breaking. To participate in the event go online to www.darknessintolight.ie. For the venue make sure to click on "Ballinamore Community School".
