Darts

The finals of The Drino Cup was played last Friday night in Freddie’s. A big crowd turned up to see the singles finals. The games got under way at half past ten on two bards with 25 players taking part, after some great darts and very exciting games it was down to the two semi-finals. On board one Wayne Roberts played Brendan Mulvey, Wayne winning on a score live of (3) legs to (1). On board two Damian McGovern played Eamon McGovern in a thriller, Eamon winning it (3) legs to (2). The final between Wayne and Eamon was expected to be a very close game but it turned out to be a bit one sided Eamon winning on a score line of (4) legs to (0). Thanks to everyone who took part in the competition and to all who ran the show on the night, thanks to Eamon and staff for refreshments.

The final of the Francis McGirl Memorial Cup will be played next Friday night the 16th of March between McGirl’s and the Poor Scholar and the venue is again in Freddie’s, starting time 10pm.
