Knitting Group

Knitting Group will resume on Tuesday, 5 September 2017, at 11.00am in Ballinamore Library. Come along and join the group with your knitting needles or crochet hooks! All are welcome.

Draughts Club

Draughts Club continue on Tuesday evenings, in Ballinamore Library, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Bring along your own board if you have one. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Healthy September - Assorted Fitness

Lets make it a healthy September... Assorted Fitness...for anybody who wants to do a full body workout in a fun & friendly atmosphere.

Ballinamore Women's Group

A meeting of Ballinamore womens group takes place on Wedensday 6th September at 8pm. Balance of money due for trip to Galway must be paid on or before this meeting. All members are asked to attend.

Irish Dancing Classes

The Mc Cartin SD will recommence Irish Dancing classes in Drumreilly Community Centre on Tuesday, 5th September and Thursday, 7th September. Classes in Ballinamore Community Centre commence on Saturday, 9th September. All levels catered for and new pupils are very welcome. Solas Gallery a solo Show by Brendan Dean

At Solas Gallery, Main Street, Ballinamore (opposite the library and above the flower shop) is “Untitled, A conversation in time” - a solo show by local Ballinamore multimedia artist Brendan Dean. Blessing of The Graves –

Sister’s Graves in the Convent Cemetery and Priest’s graves at the rear of the Church will be blessed after the11am mass on Sunday September 3rd. 

Altar Servers Outing All servers & parents are invited to attend 9:30 am mass in Ballinamore Church on Monday Aug 28th. Bus for Waterworld Bundoran will leave immediately afterwards.  

Baptism: We welcome Shay Donnelly & Darren Kennedy Mills into our Church Community as they recently received the sacrament of Baptism. Congratulations to their parents.  
Recent Deaths
Beattie Young (nee Sweeney) Drumelis, Cavan and formally of Ballinamore, whose funeral took place in Cavan on Friday also Thomas Joseph Murphy, Drumderrig, Corraleehan.  Remains will be received in Corraleehan Church this Sunday at 3pm followed by funeral mass.  Our sympathy to their families.

Oughteragh Cemetery: Congratulations to all on the way the graves were prepared and suitably adorned for Cemetery Sunday. A special word of thanks to all who participated in the Liturgy, especially to Gerarda and the choir for the beautiful way they enhanced our celebration, also to the Liturgy Group, Sr Marie and Monica our Sacristan for preparing the altar. Thanks also to our altar servers and our Traffic Attendants and collectors in particular to Austin Quinn and Thomas Kelly for co-ordinating the various personnel, to Josie Creamer for providing  P.A System for the day and to Adrian Smith and Fr Johnnie for erecting tents (to protect some of us from the rain!) A big thank you to Gerry McGourty supervisor of the R.S.S scheme, and to James Maguire and Patrick Hearty for their excellent work in caring for the cemetery. Finally thanks to Michael Duignan and other volunteers who through their individual efforts add much to adorn the cemetery. Thanks to everyone for your co-operation on the day.

Ballinamore Athletic Club appreciates the support of all who last week assisted with and attended the official launch in the Scout Hall of the Club History now on sale locally as well as all who took part in and helped with the successful running of the Festival Open 10K and 5K Roadraces. Training activity will resume during the first week of Oct.

Rose of Tralee 

A big well done to our Leitrim Rose Erin Moran, Erin has been a brilliant ambassador for Leitrim and Ballinamore and has been an inspiration to everyone she has met during her time as a rose. Despite not reaching the final Erin should be very proud of everything she has done. She is certainly a winner in our eyes and everyone in Ballinamore and Leitrim are very proud of her and she will always be a winner in our eyes. 

Ballinamore Festival Blitz 

A big thank you to all the Clubs, players, parents and mentors for making the Ballinamore festival blitz a great success. We had teams, from Garadice Gaels, Fenagh, Kiltubrid  at u8 and u10 with both mixed, boys and girls teams taking part. Special thanks to the local gardai for sponsoring the medals
