How well the town looks!

Wither it’s all the good weather or the herculean work of local painters, the town looks better than it has looked in years, the variety of colours look great and a word of praise for the painters who work hard and long hours to produce this result.  So if you see a painter struggling with the heat, bring him/her out a cool drink!!
A word of thanks to all the workers who maintain and plant flowers, they have greatly contributed to the improvements throughout Ballinamore.  The flower boxes really show off the colours of the plants.  A Big thanks to them all.

Belfast to Knock Peace Walkers.

We are now just a few days away from having our friends from Belfast pass through our town as they walk to Knock over five days on their Peace Pilgrimage. The walkers will arrive in Ballinamore on next Thursday 20th July. This is the twenty third year of the walk and over those years the parish has always opened their hearts and homes to the walkers and have been most generous and supportive in providing beds for those walking the pilgrimage. Hopefully this year will be no exception and if you can give a bed for even one walker it will be much appreciated. “I was a stranger and you invited me in “truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:35-40 We would ask that as many parishioners as possible Please come along on the evening as a show of our support, encouragement and friendship for the pilgrims on their journey. The mass will be on this Thursday 20th July at 7:30pm. All parishioners are welcome to come and experience the Mass, the music and the liturgy that the Cursillio members bring to their celebrations. If you can provide a bed for even one walker Please call 071 9644800 or 0879610911 and leave your name and number or you can come along to the Mass on Thursday evening and we will connect you with your guest who will have walked from Clones to Ballinamore on that day and will be glad to get a bed for the night, thanks to those who have already come forward with offers but at the moment we really do need more. The mass will be on this Thursday 20th July at 7:30pm. All are welcome to come and experience the Mass, the music and the liturgy that the Cursillio members bring to their celebrations.
