Belfast to Knock Peace Walkers.

We are now just  a couple of weeks away from having our friends from Belfast pass through our town as they walk to Knock over five days on their Peace Pilgrimage. Over the years the parish has always opened their hearts and homes to the walkers and have been most generous and supportive in providing beds for those walking the pilgrimage. Hopefully this year will be no exception and if you can give a bed for even one walker it will be much appreciated. “I was a stranger and you invited me in “truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’.  If you can provide a bed for even one of the walkers Please come along to the Mass and we will put you in contact with walker in need of a bed for the night. If you have accommodated walkers in the past and can do so again Please contact Thomas Kelly 071 9644800 / 087 9610911 with your details and how many you can take, Thanks. The mass will be on Thursday 20th July at 7:30pm. All parishioners are welcome to come and experience the Mass, the music and the liturgy that the Cursillio members bring to their celebrations.

Tesco stores in conjunction with Foodcloud

have a food donation programme whereby surplus food is donated to local groups every evening across all stores. Since starting in 2014, over 4 million meals have been donated to those who need it through various groups such as soup runs, women’s refuges and school breakfast clubs.

Do you know a group who benefit from this? If so, please contact your nearest Tesco store or Mary Cronolly, Area Community Champion on 087 2224442
