Ballinamore Childcare

Ballinamore Childcare will be holding an enrolment evening for parents for both preschool rooms (Lollipop and An Naionra) on Tuesday the 27th of April at 7pm in the Old Vocational School Ballinamore.  We will answer all quires and providing parents with an information pack on our Aislear Curriculum, both of our ECCE rooms and information on your child’s entitlements to 2 free years of Preschool.  For more information contact Sandra on 071 96 44904

Padre Pio Healing Mass    

You are warmly invited by our Parish Pastoral Council and community to join with us for a Padre Pio Healing Mass in Saint Patrick's Church, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim on Thursday 25th May at 7.00pm.The Celebrant will be Fr. Sean Kelly,OFM  Capuchin Priest from Kilkenny and a native of Ballinamore. There will be five Capuchin Friars present with Relics of St. Pio for individual blessings after the Mass. Many healings have been attributed to the intercession of Saint Pio and large crowds always attend the healing Masses dedicated to his life.Everyone Welcome.

Ballinamore Bridge Club

Results of bridge held on Thursday 20th April are as follows:

The final night of bridge is on 27th at seven thirty and it is hoped all our players will attend

Barn Dance Country Special

This Friday Night, April 28th will be the focus of traditional Country Music and Barn Dance in the Hunt Memorial Hall, Mohill.  Music by the popular Country Band - “Vincie Carr  and Anne  McGrory”  who provide a great mix of traditional country and western music. Admission  €15  which includes a tasty sit down supper. This promises to be a great night of entertainment for young and old, coupled with a variety of giveaway spot prizes throughout the night .   A wonderful night of music, dancing  and  good food.    086-8710215.

Thank You - Noel McManus Memorial Run

A huge thank you to all who took part in and supported the Noel McManus Memorial Run in Lough Rynn on Good Friday. The community spirit was immense as great crowds turned out to help and to take part in the 5K and 10K in the beautiful surrounding of Lough Rynn. A special thank you to the McManus Family who have given huge support to the running of this event. Also to Ciaran Reidy and the staff of Lough Rynn Castle who helped with set up, as well as providing their fabulous facilities and refreshments for all on the day. To the Garda Siochana and the Civil Defence for their presence on the day. Thank you to our stewards, registration, water station and timing personnel. To Loughlin Burns who entertained the crowd on the day. To all those who sponsored the event  in particular McNally Engineering, Pauls Newsagents, Baxters Centra Mohill. Thank you to John Lynch on Shannonside for promoting the event and to Jacinta Rowley for photography on the day. Congratulations to all the winners on the day with very impressive runs. To all those who turned out in such numbers to support the event and to remember Noel a sincere thank you.

A 5km Charity Walk In Aid Of Pieta House

The suicide and self-harm crisis centre, will take place on the morning of Saturday 6th May in Cavan town.  The walk will begin at 4.15am in the morning at Cavan Institute, Cathedral Road, Cavan. The theme is 'Darkness into Light' so the walk begins before dawn and is timed to finish as the sun comes up, symbolising the journey from the darkness of suicide into the light of hope. Anyone wishing to attend the walk can register online at http://dil.pieta.ie/ or we have a pop-up shop on Main Street, Cavan on Thursday 4th May from 5pm to 8pm. Alternatively, registrations can be taken on the morning of the walk but please come early because we're expecting a large crowd. 

Ballinamore Area Community Games

We will be holding an Athletics competition on Thursday 27th April at 7.00pm.  Registration from 6.30pm at Ballinamore Sports Complex.  Events in Track and Field from U8-U16 (see www.communitygames.ie for a list of individual events).  All welcome.  Enquiries to Amanda 086-8274199. 

North West Hospice Concert

International singing sensations The Willoughby Brothers will take to the stage of The Sligo Park Hotel on Friday May 5th all in aid of North West Hospice. This will be a night to remember and tickets sales are going fast so don’t miss out. Athletic Club

Training resumes after the Easter break on Tuesday next at 7.00.p.m. and new members are also welcome.With the summer competitions following in quick succession emphasis will be on preparation for these with the various events catered for each evening. 

Support for the Ballinamore Area Greenway

Support for the fundraising event would be very much appreciated. It is a family night at the Longford Greyhound track on Friday 28th April from 7.30 TO 9.45 PM. The night will also commemorate the Willie Winters memorial sweepstake final. Admission tickets, which include entry to a draw are 10 Euro and available at local outlets or  from any of the committee members. Children are free. A bus is being organised for the night, Euro 5 per person and can be booked with Janette McManus on 086 849 0497.  We look forward to an enjoyable evening and seeing you all there. Ballinamore Outreach Service

We offer advice and support around various things including housing, social welfare, education/training. activities for children, support groups, parenting supports, personal development and Parent and Toddler Group.  It is based in Ballinamore Library Wednesdays 12noon-1pm.  For more information call Laura on 086 6035977.

The Ballinamore Game Preservation Association

The Ballinamore Game Preservation Association would like to thank all those who bought tickets for their Easter fundraiser. The draw was held in Smyth’s Siopa Ól on Easter Sunday night, a great night was had by all.
