19th February 2020

18 February 2020

The Blood Transfusion mobile unit team will return again to Ballinamore Community School on Thursday 20th February 2020.

The times are from 3.00pm - 5.00pm and 7.00pm - 9.00pm. "1 in 4 people will need a blood transfusion at some point in their lives; however, only 3% of the population give blood. Every new donor, every new donation saves lives." The IBTS has decided to remove the permanent deferral regarding VCJD associated with UK residency and certain surgical procedures. This means that from 7th October 2019 donors who have been deferred by the IBTS for this reason or people who have not attended a clinic for this reason may now be eligible to give blood provided that they meet our other medical guidelines. Thanks to everyone who attended the last clinic. See you on Thursday 20th February 2020 and please encourage someone to come with you.

These are valuable windows and would greatly enhance the sanctuary in Ballinamore Church. If you or your family would like to donate towards the cost of a window please contact Fr. Sean. A plaque bearing the names of Donors or those in whose memory donations are made will be placed in an appropriate place in the church.
