15th February 2020

11 February 2020

The final of the Drino Cup Singles Competition was played last Friday night, another great night of darts. Thirty players took part in the finals. Some great games of high scoring and powerful finishing on the way to the semi-finals, in the first semi, Wayne Roberts beat Gerry Mahon, and the second semi Charlie McDonnell beat Michael McGirl. So the final was between Wayne and Charlie in the best of seven legs Wayne winning on a score line of (4) games to (1) for the second year running. Thanks to everyone who took part on the night, thanks to Michael McGirl, Ciaran Hearty and Garvan Mc Brian who ran the competition. Thanks to Liam and Mary for refreshments. A minute silence was observed for the late Bridie McGirl before the finals. The final of the Francis McGirl Memorial Cup sponsored by the Aughnasheelin Gun Club takes place next Friday night the 14th in Freddie’s starting at 10pm. Hope to see you all there.
