get your Christmas hats and jumpers out of the attic... Santa Claus is coming to
town...Dec 7th at 5.15... a guaranteed evening of fun and laughter... lots of goodies
and surprises and a small fireworks display.... scouts are doing their annual hot
drinks and cake stand. The brilliant volunteers have been working very hard and only
for our great community spirit all this would not be possible... thank you all. Save the

Recent Deaths: We pray for the souls of Helen Meehan formerly Tráthnona & Uk
who died last week (sister of Mary Fee Derrinkeher Brady), funeral will take place in
Uk. We also pray for Teresa Edwards, The Willows who died Friday, arrangements
to be confirmed at a later date.  Our sympathy to their families. 
Baptisms: We welcome Jack Thomas O’Hara into our church community as he was
baptised last weekend in Corraleehan. Congratulations to his parents. 
Month of the Holy Souls: In November we remember and pray for the faithful
departed in a special way. In our churches a number of masses will be offered for
the deceased members of our families. It would be appreciated if you would bring in
the list of those you wish to be prayed for with your donation  (envelope in your
offertory Box). These envelopes may be put into the weekly Offertory Baskets.
Please just leave only your list of the dead  in the  in special box close to altar before
each mass.  (Do not leave any money in this box).

 
GENTLE REMINDER : As we approach the end of the year, it would be much
appreciated if Dues  and Offertory and other contributions were brought up to date.
The weekly offertory contributions go towards the upkeep of the Churches and the
monthly dues contributions provide the salaries for the priests of the parish. 
Thanking you for your generosity. If you are paying by cheque would you be kind
enough to use a separate cheque for Offertory and Dues contributions as they have
different account numbers. Please make cheques for Offertory payable to
Ballinamore / Aughnasheelin/ Corraleehan or Aughawillan  Church a/c. Please make

Senior Citizens Christmas Party…

The annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held in the Commercial Hotel on
December 8th. All senior citizens in the Ballinamore, Aughnasheelin, Aughawillan
and Corraleehan areas are welcome to attend. Tickets are currently being distributed
but you may come along without a ticket. Anyone wishing to avail of a lift to or from

Ballinamore Parent and Toddler group

meets in Ballinamore Library Wednesdays 10am-12 noon.  €2 admission.  Fun,
social group for the adults and babies.  Enjoy some coffee and a chat while the

The annual AGM of the Alzheimer society of Ireland

Cavan Branch is holding their AGM meeting on this Monday 25th of November 2019.
The meeting takes place in the Farnham Arms hotel, Cavan at 8pm .  Everyone is
welcome so many people living with Dementia both they  their families need our

Good Governance Training:

Ballinamore Area Community Council Ltd. and The Better Together - Níos Fearr Le
Chéile PIP are delivering The Governance Journey For Small Community
Groups facilitated by Liam Scollan at 7 pm in The Den, Ballinamore on 25th
November 2019. All groups welcome, let’s make Governance work in our favour.

CD Launch: 

Sr. Marié Cox (Arney/Enniskillen), together with two Mercy Sisters, Patricia
O Donovan and Frances Kennedy, will launch their new CD entitled May Hope Be
Yours in the Gallery Bar, Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen on Monday, 2nd
December at 7.30 p.m.  They extend a very warm welcome to each of you to join
them for this special occasion which will last approximately 1 hour, after which all are
invited to enjoy some refreshments.  The album will be launched by Fr. Brian D Arcy,
C.P., and will be available for purchase … just in time for Christmas!   With poverty a
growing concern across the island of Ireland, the Sisters are donating all proceeds
from the CD to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul who are committed to fighting
poverty in all its forms through the practical assistance to people in need.  If you are
unable to make the launch, you will be pleased to know you can still purchase the

John McGaherns Handwritten Manuscript at Ballinamore Library

The November ‘item of the month’ is John McGahern’s handwritten Manuscript
which was recently purchased by Leitrim County Council. The 6 page Holograph
Manuscript was John McGaherns contribution to a book called ‘32 counties’. It will
be on display in Ballinamore Library throughout November. Opening hours are Tues
10 – 7, Wed, Thur & Fri 10 - 5; Sat 10 – 2, daily lunch closing 1 – 2pm.

USED CLOTHES COLLECTION:

Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins U16 girls are having a used clothes collection to raise
funds for training gear.  Clothes, paired shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels &
bedlinen are accepted.  Bags can be dropped off at the Clubhouse on Tuesday
19 th  Nov between 7-8pm.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

The Development of Ballinamore Community Hall

Is at the half-way stage and the contractors expect the building to be delivered on
time.  The Community has to raise €300,000 to match the grant-aid received.  A
considerable number of people have signed up for payment, either in full, or by
instalments and we are hoping to get as many additional sponsors as possible
before the end of October, please note if you pay €250 before the end of the year
you will be entered into the draw for €5000 if you pay €250 a year for 5 years and
your name will be added on a plaque in the hall. If you can help in any way please
